Description
NOURISHING | SOFTENING | RADIANCE
First cold-pressed from apricot kernels, apricot kernel oil is one of the gentlest oils in our range. Fluid and light, it absorbs quickly without leaving a greasy film and suits dry, sensitive and mature skin as well as dull hair. 100% pure, with no dilution or additives.
What is apricot kernel oil?
Apricot kernel oil (INCI: Prunus Armeniaca Kernel Oil) is obtained by cold-pressing the kernel found inside the apricot stone. It is rich in omega 9 (oleic acid, about 60 to 70 %) and omega 6 (linoleic acid, about 20 to 30 %), and naturally contains vitamin E and phytosterols.
Key ingredients & benefits of apricot kernel oil
- 100% pure: first cold-pressed, with no dilution or additives.
- Nourishes and softens: its omega 9 and omega 6 support the skin barrier of dry skin.
- Gentle on sensitive skin: eases feelings of tightness and discomfort.
- Radiance boost: antioxidant vitamin E helps the skin stay supple and luminous.
- Light texture: absorbs quickly, ideal for face and body massage.
- Soft, shiny hair: nourishes dry lengths without weighing them down.
How to use
- Face: 3 to 4 drops in the evening on clean skin, with a light massage.
- Body: as a massage oil, or a few drops mixed into your body lotion.
- Hair: on dry ends, or as an oil bath 30 minutes before shampooing.
- An excellent base for diluting essential oils.
Frequently asked questions
Is apricot kernel oil suitable for sensitive skin?
Yes. Gentle and light, apricot kernel oil is one of the plant oils best tolerated by sensitive and reactive skin. As a precaution, do a patch test on a small area (the inside of the elbow) before first use.
Does apricot kernel oil leave a greasy film?
No. Its fluid texture absorbs within a few minutes and leaves the skin soft, with no greasy feel. That is why it is often used in facial care and massage.
How is it different from sweet almond oil?
Both oils are gentle and versatile. Apricot kernel oil is lighter and absorbs faster: it is preferred for the face and sensitive skin. Sweet almond oil, a little richer, is ideal for the body.
